Reveleer has named Dr. Jean-Luc Neptune, a digital health innovator, as its new Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Neptune will direct clinical strategy for the AI-enabled value-based care technology company.
He will oversee risk adjustment, quality, and member management programs that serve 12 million covered lives. Dr. Neptune’s appointment signals a focus on integrating clinical judgment with AI in healthcare. He will help set the clinical direction for Reveleer’s products and contribute to the company’s strategy across AI, value-based care, and payment reform.
Dr. Neptune brings over 20 years of experience in bringing new technology to clinicians at the point of care. His background includes roles as a physician and a digital health founder. This dual experience will inform Reveleer’s design of AI for clinical use. The company noted that AI adoption is outpacing operational readiness, according to its 2026 State of Technology in Value-Based Care report. Health plans require AI that is both scalable and transparent.
AI Transparency and Clinical Oversight
Reveleer has processed more than 2 billion pages of medical records for risk adjustment and quality programs. The company’s EVE™ AI links each suggestion to the specific page in the medical record where the evidence appears. This allows coders and clinicians to verify suggestions before finalizing decisions.
“Clinical judgement has to shape our AI long before any suggestion reaches a reviewer,” said Jay Ackerman, CEO of Reveleer. “As risk adjustment and quality work move from chart review after the visit to the point of care, our AI puts a suggestion in front of a physician while the patient is still in the room.”
Ackerman added that Dr. Neptune’s experience in practicing medicine and building healthcare companies is essential. Reveleer Prospective Risk Adjustment delivers suspect conditions and open care gaps to clinicians within their electronic health record (EHR) system. This occurs before, during, and after patient visits.
“I’ve spent my career on both sides of the chart, as the physician writing the note and as the founder building software around it,” said Dr. Neptune. “Clinicians trust AI when it shows its work, and every suggestion should lead straight to the evidence a physician would look for.”
Dr. Neptune stated that the industry has adopted AI, and now health plans and providers must determine which decisions should remain with clinicians. He joined Reveleer to lead the effort where clinicians help shape product planning, building, and testing.
Before joining Reveleer, Dr. Neptune served as Clinical Commercial Leader at Commure. There, he worked on bringing care automation and AI to clinicians and health systems. His career also includes founding startups, investing in companies, practicing direct care medicine, and operating a clinic. He completed his medical training at Columbia University/NewYork-Presbyterian and is board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. Neptune also earned an MBA from the Wharton School.

Dr. Neptune and CEO Jay Ackerman will discuss “Keeping Clinical Judgment at the Center of AI in Value-Based Care” in a live fireside chat on November 10, 2026. The session will cover Dr. Neptune’s career path, the conditions necessary for AI to function within clinical workflows, and decision-making processes for clinician or coder review. Registration for the event is available at reveleer.com/events.
